Nobody starts from zero. Every person carries a thread that reaches further back than memory can go, to the ancestors, to the earth, to the sky.

Most of the time that thread is quiet. Sometimes it seems broken. But it is still there, and it can be woven together again.

Spirit of Wolf, the tradition of the Wolf Spirit, is the place where that thread is rewoven.

A bridge to the ancestors

Spirit of Wolf is an international shamanic union (Spirit of Wolf Union), which keeps alive an ancient shamanic heritage and the values that connect people across cultures all over the world.

This is not an import of an exotic eastern tradition. It is a way of reconnecting directly, with the great spirits, with your own ancestors, with the land and its spirits, wherever you happen to be. The ground of it is animism and archaic practices that reach deep into history, into a time when the human being was not separate from nature but was nature itself.

The union stands for:

• spiritual freedom and self-empowerment, through direct, personal experience rather than mediated teaching
• friendship, unity and humanity, honouring diversity as different expressions of the great spirit
• responsibility for one’s own actions, in love and respect for the planet
• truth and clarity, honouring the sacred laws of nature and of the universe

We are a bridge to the ancestors, so that their wisdom can flow into the present day.

Rituals around the world

Spirit of Wolf holds a network of shamans and shamanic practitioners across the planet who walk the same path. At every new moon and full moon, rituals are held to heal the environment and to support the recovery of Mother Earth. Forgotten places of power in nature are awakened, and new ones are created.

Whatever our origin, land or nationality, we are keepers of the Earth and children of the sky.

The fire rituals I hold in Estonia, in Kloogaranna, are part of that same network. When we gather here around the fire, we are not alone, on the same lunar rhythm fires are lit elsewhere in the world too.

My place in it

In shamanic practice I carry the name Tanaa Oyun Kam.

It is not a name I took for myself. It was given to me within the tradition, passed from hand to hand: one name was given by my teacher, the other by her teacher. The names carry their meaning in an ancient language and came to me the way everything in this work comes, through the line, not from a book.

For me the rank or the title is not what matters. What matters is the pure level of creation, the place where healing is born as creation rather than as technique. It is the level where something genuinely new can appear.

And this is not walking alone. Besides the tradition there is a real person beside me, my teacher Morzuk Kam, who guides and supports. She is my direct link to this living line. I do not lean only on old methods, but on a living relationship in which I am held and directed. And that is exactly why I in turn can be a support and a guide for others.

Spirit of Wolf is my root. Estonia is the place where that root bears fruit.
