Earth · Listening to the wisdom of the body
Massage
The body does not let go while it is tense.
It is a simple truth we keep forgetting. We want to relax, but we try to get there by straining. The body does not believe words. It believes safety. And only when it feels that it is allowed does it begin to let go.
What the body remembers
Trauma does not live in memory, it lives in the body.
The body holds what the mind has long since “got over”. Tension in the shoulders that will not go away. Breathing that does not reach all the way down. A place you avoid without knowing why. This is not weakness. It is the body’s way of protecting you until you are ready.
Massage is a deep conversation with that body. Not imposed, but listening. Every time a client relaxes on the table and breathes, something is released. This is not simply relaxation. It is a recalibration of the nervous system.
How I came to this
When I began in 2005 it was my soul’s guidance, I did not yet know where it would lead. By now I have learned to listen to what the soul says through the body: where it holds on, where it needs relief, what lies behind it and how to help.
Earth, the ground of everything
In my work the body is the element of earth: the root, the foundation, the connection between the ancestors and the present. Before we can work with water, fire or air, the body needs to be grounded and heard. Massage is often the first place where deeper inner work begins.
Practical
Massage in Tallinn, 100 €. Allow about 2 hours: 1.5 hours of massage and then a little recovery with tea, so the body can come back slowly instead of rushing straight out of the door.
The body is the soul that has taken form. When we care for the body, we care for the whole of ourselves.
