In the darkest moment

The logs are glowing in the stove, but they are not burning properly yet. I blow more air in so that it catches somewhere. Nothing. Only ash flies into my face. I add paper and blow again. I understand perfectly well that the matchbox is lying right there on the floor and it would be very easy just to grab it and light the fire. Yet very consciously I choose not to do that. I blow again. “It has to catch fire!” There is enough of everything for it to flare up. But now it has become a game. How long will it take me to get the fire blazing again?

“But from which place are you doing it?” I ask myself, and as proof I blow even harder. No, it will not work like that. The energy is wrong, I am trying to force the fire to burn.

I bring my attention to my heart and blow much more gently, straight from the channel of love, and I have all the time in the world. In that same moment the Fire throws out its power in a great flame. The corners of my mouth stretch to my ears. I did it.

It is always like this. When the energy comes from the right place, things happen very easily in the physical world.

Talking about energies and the spirit world is not acceptable to everyone. Some are afraid, others claim to be too rational, a third group hands out judgements, and so on.

It was the same in my childhood, nothing at all was said about these things. It is how it is for each person, but not talking about things does not make them non-existent. Rather I have noticed that it causes deeper problems. Children are especially open to sensing the different layers of the world. Before they learn to speak, they understand other people and their surroundings best through sensing, and the meanings of words do not carry greater value.

By the way, have you noticed that people often do not understand the meanings of words in the same way? They can be very simple words. Sometimes try it out: when a misunderstanding arises with someone, clarify the basic concepts, what is actually being talked about, or what meaning that word has for them. I have experienced quite a few situations in my life where this seemingly foolish game actually creates far more clarity and mutual understanding, because a shared understanding appears and from that ground comes real closeness.

So, children. They generally sense energies easily, but once they learn to speak they begin to lock that ability away, because it creates too much dissonance in understanding the world. People often say something quite different in words from what the energy between the lines expresses.

The other one, who is listening, does not start asking about that discordance and goes by the words. The chaos born of these situations happens very often.

But as a shaman, speaking about energies is completely ordinary. There are many situations where I do not know, but the energy leads, and what is then born is magical.

Fire is one of the elements of creating magic. Even if you cannot make a big bonfire right now, simply lighting a candle is enough to create a connection with the element of fire. Look at that flame. Feel its warmth. Whether you want it or not, the joy of recognition creeps into the depth of the soul. Fire touches the heart directly, because the energetic fire energy lives there too. The bonfire connected communities. There is still great power in it for a human being.

Sometimes the magic is that something has to be destroyed instead. Anger or sorrow can also be thrown into the fire, cleansing the space inside you. From clarity and clearness far better decisions and deeds are born.

But when the soul is truly heavy and darkness buries it, the light cast by that candle shows, flickering, the greatest hopes. It is precisely the courage, willpower and motivation in the energy of fire that can give the first push to step forward more surely on the path of your life. In the game of life there are many levels and chapters, some are easier and some need more of our attention. None of them is better or worse, in every moment there is a gift.

Honestly! But are you ready to receive it?

Everything starts from the inner attitude: do I want to, do I dare, do I enjoy it, am I curious, do complicated situations light the lamp of solutions or extinguish all initiative. That inner attitude can be tuned with the energy of fire, more or less of it, balanced instead with water or fed with air. All of this makes everyday life richer, more playful and more joyful.

Joy. Joy is the best indicator of how you are doing right now. Try it and watch yourself: in which moment do you feel the most sincere joy? What has to happen for that? Could you bring it about straight away?

With fire you can create; bake, warm, light, love.

With fire you can destroy, burn down, burn the bridges in relationships, heap everything that has been into ash.

In every moment we all have a choice, whether to create or to destroy with the energy of fire. Creating goes with love and destroying with rage.
